The Blue House Chronicles

The Blue House Chronicles is Korea Exposé’s bi-weekly politics-themed newsletter, edited by Mark Zastrow and Se-Woong Koo and published every Monday and Thursday evening KST. We bring you a curated list of news topics that aren’t necessarily covered by our articles or videos, with additional insights.

Our interests are varied—ranging from the ongoing negotiations to denuclearize North Korea to the minutiae of South Korean politics to social issues of national concern. But we pay special attention to the role played by the presidential Blue House—at the very heart of South Korean politics and society. After all, this newsletter is called the Blue House Chronicles.

What we do isn’t just highlighting our selection of Korean issues; we want to show you that there are some noticeable differences in how they are being covered, depending on who is doing it—foreign media or South Korean media. We also point out problems that can plague foreign media reporting on the Korean Peninsula when the occasion calls for it.
